BORIS KODJOE AND NICOLE ARI PARKER AT HOLLYWOOD PREMIERE

Happily married couple Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker attended the Hollywood premiere of "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" last night.

Parker stars in "Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins" as well as the upcoming Eddie Murphy project, "Nowhereland.

And in related news, Nicole Ari Parker is on the cover of February/March edition of "Heart & Soul" magazine where she discusses her 2 year marriage to Boris.

"My husband is German and African, and sometimes the African King comes out. He's totally the king of his castle. When he says it's time for bed now, he wants everyone in the house to go to bed, and I'm like, "I'm grown!" It's not necessarily a pet peeve but it did take some getting used to".

In addition to his acting career, the Ghanaian /German former model is tackling the fashion world with the launch of his custom made shirts called Boris Kodjoe for Ziami.

Over the past weekend, I headed over to my local newsstand where I pick up a copy of "Pride" magazine.

London's R&B songbird Estelle is on the cover of the magazine's December edition.

Considering the hoopla surrounding Estelle thanks to John Legend and Kanye West, I decided to read the cover story and I was surprised to learn that Estelle is half Senegalese and half Grenadian.

Quick scoops on Estelle:
-She's a VH1 "You Oughta Know" artist.
-John Legend's Homeschool Records has her as a labelmate.
-She's the oldest of 8.
-Virgin Unite has her as their Ambassador.
-Her full name is Estelle Swaray.
-"Shine", Estelle's new record, drops May 2008. On this new album, Estelle worked with Wyclef Jean, Will.i.am, Swizz Beats, Mark Ronson and Kanye West.
-She's best known for her hit, "1980".
-Estelle sings, writes, produces, and raps.

EBBE BASSEY TO APPEAR ON HBO

In a recent e-mail received, I am delighted to share with FG2BH readers about Ebbe Bassey's current film project -wait for it- "African Booty Scratcher".

Here's the rundown according to HBO.COM:
A young woman must balance her West African traditions with American idealism when it comes to choosing a prom dress in this short film. Directed by Nikyatu Jusu.

Sierra Leonean Jusu started promoting this piece back in Spring 2007 and soon after was recognized at American Black Film Festival.

Just in case you miss the Monday February 4th premiere, HBO ON Demand has this film from Feb. 04, 2008 - Mar. 02, 2008.

"African Booty Scracther" has a myspace page filled with additonal screenings at Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Boris Kodjoe and his wife Nicole Ari Parker attended the 7th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament in the Bahamas. Above is the couple with Michael Jordan and Fat Joe.

Liya Kebede is launching a new clothing line for children called LemLem with her two year-old daughter Raee as the brand's spokesmodel.

LemLem is a Amharic trem which means "to bloom". LemLem is made in Liya's native country Ethiopia.

DJIMON AND KIMORA POSE TOGETHER

Djimon Hounsou and his girlfriend Kimora Lee Simmons pose together for the February edition of "Harper's Bazaar" magazine.

In the glossy four-page spread, Djimon and Kimora wore designer clothes from Calvin Klein (who Djimon endorsed last year), Giorgio Armani, KLS Collection (her clothing line), and Gucci.

Shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh, Djimon and Kimora rock matching his and hers white cotton button-up shirts.

Kimora and Djimon started their courtship last February as heavily reported on Feels Good 2 B Home.

Below are excerpts taken from the interview that I typed up for FG2BH readers:

Djimon on Kimora: She's the least high-maintenance lady I've ever dated.

Djimon on Kimora's two children (Ming Lee and Aoki Lee Simmons): They're great kids. I take my hat off to Kimora for the way she's carried them along with her business. And Russell as well. It's extremely commendable what they do with the kids.

Kimora on Djimon's Calvin Klein AD: That ad is hot as hell. And that body is sick. It's really that way.

Kimora on their relationship: He's a reality check for me, and I'm a fabulosity check for him.

After my breakup, I thought, I don't need anything. Russell used to tel me, 'You look good, you're wealthy, you're young,, you have kids. Screw the world.'

And I kind of started to believe that. But now I have someone who has the heart, the soul, and the hotness. Who knows?

I could be eating my words later, but I really doubt it. If people were betting, they would bet their good money on Djimon.

Djimon on what attracted him to Kimora: I wanted to find a wonderful persoon to be with, which is the most challenging thing in our business.

My first impression has always been the same: that she's a beautiful lady, very capable and intelligent and smart with great family values.

You see her reality show, and some would call her a quote-unquote high-maintenance lady.

Some lady may look at it as if it's a honeymoon stage, but she's the least maintenance lady I've ever dated.

I'll bet my hand on that. Or however you say it.

Supermodel Iman has lend her face and name to a good cause via the charity organization, Keep A Child Alive.

The AD campaign Iman, Alicia Keys, and Zoe Kravitz as Concrete Loop reported on is called ‘Good Cents Initiative’.

Iman's "Keep A Child" AD appears with the caption: “Every penny counts. We see every penny as something worth saving. Please join us in helping children in Africa and India get the vital AIDS drugs they need. For information on how you or your company can join the fight, contact www.keepachildalive.org.”

NAIJA NEWS FEATURING A WEDDING AND KIDNAPPING

When I saw this news about Nigerian Chidi Ogbuta's wedding over at Juicy-News, I simply shook my head and the following explained why I'm still shaking my head:

Chidi Ogbuta, a bride in Texas who commissioned a wedding cake to be SHAPED EXACTLY LIKE HER, right down to the tears - er, tiers - of her wedding gown. It's been Chidi's life-long dream to get a doll made to look like her.

CNN is reporting a kidnapping of a three-year old Nigerian-British girl that ended well. Margaret Hill of Port Hartcourt was held by kidnappers for four days. Hill was captured on her way to school and suffered mosquito bites.
