CELESTINA SPOTTED IN ROBIN THICKE'S MAGIC VIDEO

Celestina Aladekoba who I interviewed last November has a cameo in Robin Thicke's "Magic" music video. She's the girl with the black and pink outfit. Celestina's definitely on her grind as she danced with Prince, Usher, 50 Cent and now Robin Thicke!

Robin Thicke's "Magic" video

behind-the-scenes clip

Akon worked with Nelly and Ashanti on the single, "Body On Me." The song is featured on Nelly's "Brass Knuckles" album and Ashanti's record "The Declaration." Benny Boom directed the video treatment at the Red Rock Casino, Resort, & Spa in Las Vegas. (Thanks Rap-Up!)

Now that you saw the video, check out this sneak preview that aired on MTV:

This past week photos taken from the video set leaked online. The exclusive snapshots were taken by Erik Kabik Photography. Thanks ASHANTIDAILY!

Alright you saw both music videos, which one did you like? I prefer Robin's "Magic" over Akon's "Body On Me" track. Why? I can't get that melody out of my head (copyright Kylie!)

One-name wonders Iman and Sade were ranked as two of the top 20 Sexiest Black Women over 40 according to Black Voices Blog. Iman came in at # 19 and Sade's #16! (Angela Bassett was #1 followed by Halle Berry.)

19. Iman
Millionaire model and entrepreneur Iman remains seductive and glamorous at 52. A pioneer as an African fashion icon, Iman carries the torch today by speaking out for equality for newer black models. She's got her game on lock, and nothing is more sexy than power.

16. Sade
Singer Sade has been beloved for her intoxicating voice and elegant style for many years. A child of two continents, her background lent an exotic ambiance to songs like 'Smooth Operator' and 'Sweetest Taboo,' making them totally authentic -- and incredibly sexy. At 49, she's still got it.
I couldn't agree more with the list. While you and I are on the topic of Miss Sade, I think I speak for all her fans when I say - DO COME BACK TO MUSIC!

Djimon Hounsou supported girlfriend Kimora Lee Simmons' Fabulosity for JCPenney launch.

I think I speak for many when I say damn Kimora, just damn! I say this just from outside looking in. Djimon has stood besides her throughout her divorce and her kids seems to like him. Can we freeze frame on Djimon's salt and pepper beard. -sigh!- Anyhow, I do love her Dolce & Gabbana dress.

If you've been reading this blog, you know how much I love posting up these fun 'got IT better' posts. Liya Kebede may have been onto the Givenchy open-toe booties trend several months prior. The runway model wore this look straight from Givenchy's Spring 2008 collection back in January at 10th Annual amfAR New York Gala. This look has been seen on Rihanna twice.

Due to high demand, the short style of this shoe is sold out! So, anyhow which fashionista has the better style -Liya or Rihanna?

Rants/thoughts:
Planning any wedding is hard and time consuming but planning a Nigerian wedding is a trip! I'm not the one getting married but I sure feel like I am, lol! From making your outfit from the lace to last minute arrangements... oh my goodness! One more month to go! Maybe I posted up photos from the wedding on here because you and I know that the fun part is the actual wedding reception. I cannot wait to see the cultural dance groups and of course the fight for the bride's flowers.

Can you believe I'm apart of the blogging community for 2 years in just two days???

ESTELLE WANTS NO SUBSTITUTE LOVE

Estelle's (one of Feels Good 2 B Home's favorite UK artists) video for "Substitute Love" finally made its way online for all to see after appearing on "The Box" over in the UK. The video is loaded with cameos from Christian Siriano from Project Runway, Kelly Rowland, and Amanda Diva.

The "No Substitute Love" video obviously is a throwback to George Michael's hit, "Faith". Wycelf Jean produced Estelle's third single off her American debut, "Shine". "No Substitute Love" follows the success of her previous singles, "Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)" and "American Boy".

Earlier today, Iman and fashion designer Donna Karan attended 5th Annual Wayuu Taya fundraising gala at the Bowery Hotel in New York City (of course):

As always, Iman looked fab...but when does she not? Very rare, huh?!

Here's the rundown of the gala from its official website:
The nonprofit organization founded in 2002 by actress, model and UNESCO Artist for Peace Patricia Velasquez, raises funds for Latin American indigenous communities. The Foundation focuses its attention on those that are most at risk – women and children.

Since June 2008 is Black Music Month, I had to post one of my favorite Sade tracks -"Stronger Than Pride"...

One of my favorite music blogs SOULBOUNCE added this Sade tune to their Top 100 Soul/R&B Songs countdown list. Share your favorite Afro/Naija tune via comments. Hopefully I can add your favorite onto the next post.

Rants/thoughts:
1. The Nigerians that I accounted within the past week simply made me shake my head. At an NYC event (Queens to be precise), I was in charge of food. This task was something special. Every few minutes, folks would come over to the food asking for some. I would simply tell them they have to wait until the Church service is over. Apparently this did not stop one ruthless Mother from using her own child to grab food before the rest. (-SMH!-) Patience, much?!?! (Does this scenario happen just here or elsewhere. Readers do fill me in!) Anyhow, the very people waiting to taste the food beforehand are the first ones on line for the food! Things that make me go hmm...
2. Why do you take food for the ones at 'my table' or 'my siblings at home' when we go out to a non-catered event?

SADE'S COMEBACK?

A newsworthy tidbit from Jaws Juice surfaced online in regards to a possible Sade comeback. Not since "Lovers Rock" has there been a full length Sade record. In 2005, Sade contributed the bonus track "Mum" to the Voices for Darfur DVD.

Via AOL Black Voices:

Is singer Sade preparing her next comeback record? That's the question being asked since the 48-year-old London-based singer was spotted in New York City recently having lunch with friends. The 'Smooth Operator' vocalist was spotted dining at St. Vartan Café on 34th and Second Street. Her last album was 2000's 'Lovers Rock.' A rep for Epic Records didn't respond to a request for an update on the singer.

In anticipation of her comeback, Feels Good 2 B Home takes you all back to four classic Sade videos off her last record, "Lovers Rock":

SOMEBODY ALREADY BROKE MY HEART (LIVE)

Here's a two-part documentary on the making of Sade's Lover's Rock". [PART 1] and [PART 2]

Chris Rock has a crush on Sade!?!?

When I came across this tidbit in the current issue of "InStyle" magazine which features Halle Berry on the cover. I couldn't stop laughing. Chris Rock has a crush on Sade!?!?
"Funnyman Chris Rock missed a golden opportunity to impress his all-time crush, Sade, because she found his comedy costume hilarious. The comedian/actor admits he has always thought the sultry singer is "the most beautiful woman in the world,” but he was anything but a “Smooth Operator,” when he got a chance to meet her. Rock recalls, "I was on “Saturday Night Live,” and she was the musical guest. I was dying to meet this woman. "Somehow, some way, somebody wrote some League Of Justice sketch, where I had to play (BATMAN sidekick) ROBIN. "Now, I'm really skinny and I got on the tights and the Robin stuff, and I'm watching Sade do her sound check and she looks out and sees me and then starts giggling. She just giggles uncontrollably." I came across these two random pictures of singer Sade and model Nnenna. So I decided to post it up on my blog as well.
