BORIS KODJOE CELEBRATES HIS BIRTHDAY

Nicole Ari Parker accompanied her husband Boris Kodjoe for his birthday celebration in Atlanta, Georgia this past weekend.

ESSENCE.COM posted up loads of interesting pictures from the event. Boris was born on March 9, 1973 according to his IMDB profile page.

Celebrity guests were Sanaa Lathan (minus her man Wale, unfortunately), Michael Jai White, Rockmund Dunbar, Lynn Whitfield, Dallas Austin, Eric Laselle, Russell Simmons, Joe, and Alegbra.

LOLA OGUNNAIKE DOES ESSENCE

In the April edition of Essence magazine, CNN's "American Morning" entertainment correspondent Lola Ogunnaike recently discussed with Pamela Edwards her move from print to television.

Lola Ogunnaike on how her personal style changed: You're not dressing for yourself anymore. You're dressing for viewers.

Lola even goes further by saying she's wouldn't mind being a trainer because "you wear sweats all day and make people look fabulous".

The former New York Times culture reporter also dished out a few of her favorite things which include a red patent leather Christian Louboutin pump, Marc Jacobs "daisy" perfume, a green Chaiken dress, and a purple Catherine Malandrino jacket.

Lola on Oprah Winfrey: It's the only time in my career that I've been starstruck. Oprah's so regal. I almost kiss the ring!

Lola however failed to talk about the huge ring on her wedding finger...hmm!

SANAA AND WALE OUT FOR DINNER

Wale Ogunleye took his girlfriend Sanaa Lathan out for dinner at STK Steakhouse last month. I've been meaning to post up this one photo of Wale, Sanaa and Sanaa's brown Gucci bag. Aren't you glad that these two are still going strong?

THAT CATWALK SWAGGER

One of our favorite couples (Djimon and Kimora) made their love official with a little bit of public display of affection. I sincerely believe these two balance each other out. After all Kimora famously remarked in a Harper's Bazaar interview that Djimon "... a reality check for me, and I'm a fabulosity check for him." To keep in mind that Djimon said in the same interview that Kimora's "... "least high-maintenance lady I've ever dated".

Boris Kodjoe made his Broadway debut showed up for the Broadway premiere of "Cat on A Tin Roof"...and I somehow have to go catch this play in between his run which starts from April 15 through May 22! Apparently Boris' gorgeous wife, Nicole Ari Parker, let him have the shine on opening night. The twosome celebrated his new gig via dinner at the Waverly Inn restaurant with actor Terrence Howard who Boris will replace.

Charlize Theron, who by the way was born in South Africa, went to the "Sleepwalking" premiere. Charlize and her boyfriend Stuart Townsend attended the the 1st Hollywood Domino Tournament hosted by De Grisogono at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

So I've been on a Toni Braxton-video watching craze. So imagine my surprise when I caught this video of Toni and Seal singing to one another:

Estelle featuring Kanye West-"American Boy" music video

Ever since her new video with Kanye West hit the blogosphere, UK hip-hop artist Estelle has been busy promoting her upcoming Spring album release, Shine.

Estelle was recently seen with her sister and the same bright pink clutch at the Black Entertainment Television UK launch party at the Cafe de Paris. Estelle also supported BET when they held their annual Rip The Runway event.

Prior to the BET UK launch party gig, Estelle dropped by MTV's "TRL" to disccuss her new single, "American Boy".

The news of his baby daughter may have prevented him from signing onto his 'official myspace page' since January 31st?? I'm letting this slide because his song, "Tick Tock" has been on my mind. The hook's too catchy, don't you agree?

SEAL AT THE 2008 OSCARS

The 80th Academy Awards kick off Sunday night on ABC but I honestly tune in just to see who's wearing what. Isn't that why everyone else watches the telecast???

Seal and Heidi Klum both look like they step off the pages of "Elle" magazine.

Heidi look stunning in her custom-made John Galliano gown. (I like Seal's skinny tie with the diamond clip!)

Mrs. Seal's size 2 crimson-red gown will be auctioned for Diet Coke Red Dress Program, which raise awareness of women and heart disease. (The auction will be online via Red Heart Truth charity.) Isn't it great to know that Heidi's not only fashion forward but socially savvy?!
