AFRICANS AT THE 50TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS

Seal, Akon, and Angelique Kidjo all attended the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

At the event, Kidjo took pictures with Alicia Keys and Corinne Bailey Rae on the red carpet. Angelique's "Ojin Ojin" snagged a Grammy win for Contemporary World Music.

The Benin native shared her Grammy joy with music producer Jimmy Jam.

Akon pose with Jay-Z, Chrisete Michele, and Lindsay Lohan. Word is that the Senegal native rock wool and suede in the L.A heat!

Seal came without his wife, Heidi Klum. Instead the Nigerian crooner had Natalie Cole at his side for a few photo ops.

Below are performances from the award ceremony that you have to watch before it gets taken down from youtube:

Beyonce and Tina Turner - "Proud Mary"

Rihanna and The Time - "Umbrella"/ "Don't Stop The Music"

Alicia Keys and John Mayer - "No One"

Kanye West - "Hey Mama"

lol...i like Angelique's pose with d award on her head. Could've done much better with her outfit though. Didn't really feel any of the performances. Miss B's own was a bit over the top until Tina came out to perform.

Nice post. Angelique! Wow! I'm sorry her outfit does not cut it. I think she would have looked great inn a pantsuit of some sorts, maybe white color. This was out of her league. LOL!

The only performance I loved was the Alicia Keys/John Mayer.

Tina Turner really didn't need Beyonce to do her thing but it was exciting to see them do their thing together.
